Feel Better – Live Better – Work Better
Yoga can help you eliminate the negative effects of stress in your life and gain a greater sense of wellbeing. The many benefits of yoga include improved sleep, lowered anxiety, flexibility, strength and peace of mind.
Susie Spiller teaches yoga privately, and also brings yoga to the corporate environment to help staff at all levels achieve work/life balance. Classes include:

simple and easy postures drawn from Satyananda practices
to help remove the physical discomfort accumulated during the day
pranayama breathing practice
highly effective at reducing stress and anxiety –and the quickest way known to reduce stress in the area of the brain that holds on to stress
yoga nidra for profound relaxation
to take the mind from the busy beta mind waves to alpha waves, and a state of total relaxation

Learn how to relax...
The yoga nidra relaxation exercise at the end of the class systematically induces complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. At the same, it awakens the consciousness, separating it from external awareness and sleep. So while your body rests, your mind will stay alert and your consciousness becomes more powerful.

Benefits for you and your workplace

More output for the time and effort you put in
Improved memory and decision making
Greater confidence in your judgement
More positive feelings, less frustration
Greater enjoyment in working with others

Satyananda Yoga is a living and evolving tradition. It provides everyone, regardless of social background, with the tools for self-development, to become stable and self-reliant. Yoga classes follow a gradual progression, enabling students to assimilate the effects gradually and safely, one step at a time, making yoga accessible and beneficial to all, young and old, those of varying levels of fitness, health and experience. Based on the traditions and philosophies of Samkhya, Vendanta, Tantra and Sannyasa.
It combines Hatha, Raja, Karma, Bhakti, Jnana, Mantra, Kriya, Kundalini and other branches of yoga. It is based on traditional wisdom and teachings, re-evaluated by a living master to serve present needs. It recognises that yoga needs to be customized and made relevant to the needs of the individual within contemporary society. Some aspirants may naturally be attracted to the physical end of the yoga spectrum, others to the meditative end, others in between. Certain branches of yoga are therefore more or less relevant to each individual depending on where they are on this spectrum.

SUSIE SPILLER
Susie began her yoga studies in 2000 under the guidance of Swami Shantimurti Saraswati at Ashram Yoga in Auckland. She completed the advanced yoga training course with him in 2004 and was one of the senior teachers at the Ashram. In November 2009 Susie took mantra diksha from Swami Satyananda Saraswati one month before his passing and continues to study with Satyananda Yoga on an international basis to ensure growth and professionalism.

Susie has now been an internationally acknowledged certified Styananda Yoga teacher for 11 years.

Satyananda is the name of the school of yoga that has evolved from the teachings of Paramahansa Satyananda Saraswati, himself a disciple of another great teacher Swami Sivananda.

Susie
has studied the harmonium with the late Vasudeva Venkataiah  and continues to offer Kirtan in her home with friends in memory and celebration of her teacher Vasudeva who also past in December 2009.

Susie is an experienced communicator and facilitator. She received her Master Facilitator of the Virtues Project. Susie not only talks about a great lifestyle - she lives it through her daily focus on diet, exercise and meditation.

Yoga is not an ancient myth buried in oblivion. It is the most valuable inheritance of the present. It is the essential need of today and the culture of tomorrow.
~ Swami Satyananda Saraswat

Yoga
draws on the magic of ancient traditions and marries them with advanced science and consciousness research. Far from being simply physical exercise, it is an aid to establishing an awareness of one’s self and integrating or belonging to the whole.
Yoga is a gentle but powerful means of achieving strength, flexibility, stillness and balance in the body and mind. More and more people are turning to yoga as a way of dealing with the stresses and strains of modern living.
Yoga is a practical means of balancing and harmonising the body, mind and emotions. For most people yoga is simply a means of maintaining health and wellbeing in an increasingly stressful world.
